

Library
The school has moderate-sized library with about 9000 titles, besides reference works, encyclopaedias, periodicals, newspapers and several knowledgeable magazines. Besides, there are enough books and reference materials in each faculty/wing relating to the teaching learning activities. There is a separate library in the Higher Secondary Wing. Every year new additions are made to the existing collections.
Science Laboratory
With a view to facilitating the learning of science through experimentation and observation, the school provides students with laboratory facilities. The school possesses a modern, well-equipped science building providing separate laboratories for Physics, Chemistry, Biology donated by the Higher Secondary Education Project. In addition to these, two separate laboratory rooms, for the secondary students, will be made ready for this session.
Computer Facilities
Knowledge of computer is essential in the contest of growing use of computers in every aspect of life. Bhanubhakta Memorial Higher Secondary School has the best computer facilities among the private schools – physically and technically. The students of grade six upwards are taught computer science as on of the major subjects. The school has three separate computer laboratories for lower secondary, secondary and higher secondary classes in network environment. From this academic session computers will be provided to the primary students for gaming. Besides teaching computer as a subject, we use computer for Computer Aided Learning with multimedia facility and a huge collection of educational software. We provide full Internet access and e-mail address to individual student under the school’s domain name. We have signed an agreement with Mercantile Communications Pvt. Ltd., which will provide Internet service for home use to our students at minimum cost under the recommendation of the school.All the office works including students’ billing, result processing, accounting, documentations, etc. are computerized.
Art
Students wishing to acquire skills in drawing, painting, sculpture, music and dance may join Art classes, which are conducted after regular school hours. Our students have demonstrated outstanding skills and imaginations in various Art competitions and won several awards.
School Canteen
The school houses two canteens which serve varieties of fresh foods and hot and cold drinks in subsidized rates to its staff and students during school hours.
Boys’ Hostel
Hostel accommodation is available for up to 150 boys. The minimum age of admission into the boarding house is 6 (six) years on the date of admission.
Parents desirous of admitting their children in the school as boarders should write where it says Day Scholar / Day Boarder / Boarder in the prescribed application form.
All admissions to the school are subject to students qualifying in an admission test and availability of seats in classes to which the admission is sought. The Day Scholars can, however, register their names at any time for a boarding vacancy. The vacancies are allotted if and when they arise.
Transport
The school operates busses on ten different routes across the Kathmandu, Lalitpur and Bhaktapur districts. Transportation fee is charged on monthly basis for the use of school bus. Extension of existing bus routes or changes of bus stops to suit and individual’s convenience is not permissible. However, the management can decide about any necessary change at the beginning of session.
Medical
Routine medical check-up during the school hours is provided free of cost by the school medical officers. The school employs a doctor and a nurse to provide medical services to Day Scholars, Day Boarders and Boarders. In case of an emergency, the students are rushed to the Teaching Hospital at Maharajgunj, which is only two minutes drive from the school. The charge for such treatments shall be paid by the parents through the miscellaneous fund.
Insurance
All students of Bhanubhakta Memorial Higher Secondary School have their Personal Accident Insurance done at Nepal Insurance Company Ltd. Under the scheme called ‘Student Safety Insurance Scheme’. This scheme offers compensation up to NRS 25,000.00 and reimbursement of medical expenses.
Water Filtration Plant
Bhanubhakta Memorial Higher Secondary School is capable in providing safe/treated drinking water to its students at any season. It has installed a modern water filtration plant, with a capacity of 10,000 litres of water, in the school premise to supply clean drinking water.
Day Boarding
With a view to helping students to make optimal use of out of school time creatively, Bhanubhakta Memorial Higher Secondary School has launched “Day Boarding” programme for the students of all levels.
The programme is not just a provision of place and meal for the participating students but it is an educational programme designed and operated for the betterment of students’ learning and for the development of their personality.
