REGULATIONS


General regulations

  • Students must come to school in regular uniform and proper hair-do.
  • They must arrive on time and depart only after school has finished for the day.
  • School starts at 9:15 am and finishes at 4:15 pm. However, remedial/extra classes for Day Scholars/ Day Boarders/ Boarders are arranged before or after school.
  • Day Scholars may bring their lunch and water from home. They can, however, buy their lunch/snacks at the school canteen.
  • Students are not permitted to paint or grow nails; not to wear bangles, finger rings or jewels.
  • Students should not leave the classroom unless allowed to do so by their class teacher.
  • They should not enter the Principal’s Office, Staff Rooms or any other restricted rooms without first obtaining permission.
  • They should respect the beauty of the classrooms and of the school premises, and report any damages they may observe.
  • They should not bully or harass their schoolmates in and out of the school
  • They should participate in games, cultural programmes and other activities organised by the school.
  • They should avoid vulgarity in talk and behaviour.

Every student is expected to live up to the code of the school.

Expulsion

A student is liable to expulsion from the school if he/she is found to have:
  • Openly defied school policies;
  • Used narcotic drugs and
  • Caused, on purpose, physical/psychological injury/damage to his her schoolmate(s).

The reserves the right to suspend or expel a student for indecent behaviour or gross misconduct.
 
For parents / guardians

Parent/Guardian should pay regular visits to the school in order to inquire upon the academic achievement and general progress of their wards. Counsellor, In-charges, Class Teachers will be available for conference during the school hours.

They can also establish a continuous link with class teachers through the Students’ Diary. They should always make sure that their wards study regularly at home and do not play truant.

Visitors / Guests


Parents/guardians may visit their wards on the second Saturdays of the month form 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm. They must, however, call on the Residential Head first. No guests are allowed to stay at the hostel.
 

Leave Out


Boys may visit heir relations on the last weekends of the month. They must return to the hostel on Saturday evenings before dinner (or Sunday morning before 7:30 am). Children cannot be allowed to leave the school premises on their own unless written consent of the parent is sent to the principal in advance.
 

Withdrawal


Service charges for the whole year have to be paid at the time of admission. No refund or service charges will be made in case a boarder is withdrawn in the middle of the term. However, if the principal decides that a boarder cannot on disciplinary or academic grounds, be allowed to continue his study in the boarding house, no such deduction will be made.
 

Merit /Demerit Card System


The school has introduced a merit card system. Meritorious students with outstanding achievement in academic as well as extracurricular activities will be awarded with a merit card (blue color). The merit cardholders will be rewarded appropriately.

Likewise the ones who violate the school code of conduct will be given a demerit card. According to the severity of the violation, there are two classifications of demerit cards such as yellow and red ranging from less severe to the most severe. The student who receives a red demerit card thrice will be expelled automatically from the school.
 

Promotion Rules

  • Promotion will be decided not only on the basis of the performance of the student in the final examination but also on the whole year's overall performance of the student.
  • The decisions of the school authorities regarding promotion will be final.
  • A student who fails twice in the same class may be asked to leave the school.
